The 1^st INTACT workshop took place from 15-19 of September 2007 in Braga, Portugal. It was the kick-off meeting for the ESRs/LSs from the first recruitment wave.

The first day focused mainly on general introductions about the INTACT network including the planned research packages and team building activities.

The second day contained a guided practice with the data collection and management tool Web-AKQUASI.

Monday and Tuesday were all about the main topics of the different work packages:

• Epidemiology, risk factors & classification by Prof. Ulrike Schmidt,
• Biology of ED: Genetics & Epigenetics by Prof. Iain Campbell,
• Endophenotypes by Dr. Annemarie van Elburg,
• Treatment and outcome of ED by Prof. Hana Papezova.

At the last workshop day Dr. Stephanie Bauer gave a  general introduction about "How to write a study protocol?"
