Current Research Projects
My current research focusses on decision making processes in relation to eating disorders. In one project I am examining the influence of negative emotions of decision making performance in patients with Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder. Another project is in collaboration with several colleagues at the Institute of Psychiatry in London (e.g. Dr. Kate Tchanturia) in which we investigate the relation between decision making performance and genetic risk factors in eating disordered patients and healthy controls. Furthermore, I am conducting a study on the relation between symptoms of eating pathology and decision making in a general female population.

Special interest
In general, I am interested in neurocognitive functioning (e.g., set shifting, inhibitory control, central coherence) as phenotypes in patients with eating disorders, with a special interest in processes underlying decision making in Bulimia Nervosa and the relation with impulsivity
